Schedule of Events

 

On Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 the Lewis-Pacific Swiss Society will be hosting their 41st Annual Oktoberfest at the Swiss Hall located at 19 Swiss Picknick Road in Frances, WA. The public is welcome to join the festivities!

Featured at this annual event will be a traditional European 9-pin Bowling Tournament that kicks off at 9 a.m. First perfect score of 27 wins $500! Bowling will continue until 8:00 p.m. with anyone welcome to sign in at any time and try their skills.

A Crafts, Vendors, and Bake Sale will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and a Silent Auction will begin at noon and close at 9:00. If you are interested in having a table at this event contact Erin Frasier at 360-942-9891. There is no charge to have a table to showcase your business or craft at this event.

A Horseshoes Tournament will start at 12:00 p.m. beginning with amateurs; and sign-ups for the Pinochle Tournament will begin at 12:00 p.m. with play starting at 1:00 p.m.

Children’s activities will be held again this year starting at Noon including a Swiss Scavenger Hunt, Coloring Contest, and Sawdust Scramble for Coins.

The Kitchen and Bar will open at 11:00 a.m. and a dinner will be served from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Swiss Dance Lessons will be held from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. followed by a Dance to Live Polka Music featuring the “Blaser Band” from 8:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.

At 10:00 p.m. the announcements for the winners of the Bowling, Horseshoes, and Pinochle Tournaments and Raffle will be held followed by the coronation of the Swiss Miss.

Non Hook-ups $8/night

Admission to the park is free. Swiss Miss candidates are selling buttons for $3.00 each which will get you into the dance. Admission to the dance without a button is $5.00. Contact Patrick Richardson for information on how to get your button. 360-269-4737
